Dr. John Capriotti, Ph.D.
Dr. Capriotti holds a Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics from the University of Minnesota and specializes in mathematical and statistical modeling, data analysis, and Operations Research. He spent a decade at the ORINCON and Lockheed Martin Corporations performing sonar signal processing and developing statistics-based decision support software for Department of Defense computer network security and U.S. Navy theater undersea warfare. Dr. Capriotti is currently a lecturer in the University of Minnesota School of Physics and Astronomy.
Dr. Joseph Kreke, Ph.D.
Dr. Kreke holds a Ph.D. in Experimental High Energy Physics from the University of Tennessee and specializes in mathematical and statistical modeling and data analysis. A veteran who spent six years on Fast Attack Submarines, he also spent more than a decade with Computer Sciences Corporation, where he led process improvement, security metrics, and reporting. In addition to his current work as a research analyst for the Artificial Intelligence Group at the Naval Research Laboratory, Dr. Kreke assists several Healthcare companies (TAS and Meridian) with data analysis and process improvement.
Dr. Thomas Mann, MBBS, MRCGP, MBA
United Kingdom based Dr. Mann brings a strong background in evidence based medicine, clinical audit, and quality assurance in clinical practice. While Head of Public Health for England and Wales, he ran the government program on clinical effectiveness and evidence based care, promoted the wider use of day surgery, and developed and introduced the periodical published by the British Medical Journal on the subject (“Clinical Evidence”). Dr. Mann also led initial efforts resulting in the establishment of evidence based projects throughout the United Kingdom.
Dr. Thomas Wherry, M.D.
Anesthesiologist, surgical center director, and consultant, Dr. Wherry specializes in all aspects of perioperative care improvement. He is highly skilled in working with physicians, surgeons, and nursing staff in process improvement and quality improvement. Dr. Wherry has extensive experience of working with hospital surgical teams to help them increase day surgery rates, shorten surgery turnaround times, and improve clinical outcomes for perioperative care.
